Probably a silly question - but is it possible to put a sports steering wheel on my soarer (the cruise control is attached to the steering wheel)? Or do I need to replace it with the same? The current steering wheel is falling apart...

yes you can replace the current wheel with an aftermarket sports wheel, the only thing you require to keep your cruise control is to buy the boss kit for the wheel which has the cruise control functions on it!

do a search and you will find a few different options you have, like retro-fitting the old cruise, or you could just contactr Jeff Harper who sells these boss kits, well atleast he did!

You can also get your steering wheel recovered.

i used a standard boss kit, trim down the plastics on the cruise control base that screws into the column and glue it under the steering wheel.

So, being a grey import, what do you look under in the local auto parts shop catalogue, for sports steering wheel hub?
