Hey everyone,

I found this on ebay and was wondering what everyone's thoughts are as I am considering buying them to cover up the crime, that is my current seats.

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/LEATHER-SEAT-CELICA-SUPRA-CAMRY-SOARER-RAV4-MR2-180SX_W0QQitemZ250069142887QQ ihZ015QQcategoryZ43809QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Current seats look like this, although the rear seats are in VGC I still think the colour is HORRIBLE and does not match the car at all. The front seats are cracking quite badly. Oh and please excuse my car, yes it looks dirty and disgusting, but these pics were taken before I even bought it :-)

personally i think if your going to spend $599 on seat covers, you might as well go one little extra and try to get yourself some mickey mouse seats that have already been re-upholstered, i recently saw a set go for about 800 i think it was, and mate.....i have never seen 1991 leather seats look so good, clean, crack and even scratch free...absolute immac...if i had the cash i would have gone for that but too late now ey....

Just my two cents thats all...all in all its your cash, your car, but then again what you have to realise is that the items you are purchasing are temp fitments only, not permanent...personally i'd go the whole way

Hope that helps

Cheers

There is a group buy for these on Skylines Australia if anyone else is interested, quite a good discount.

Care to put up a link, I'm thinking about buying a single one for LHS to stop the dog messing up the real leather on the A4.

Those covers look good, wonder how the match is to real leather? I think someone on these forums has these on his Soarer too.

There was a for sale thread about it a while ago. The skyline thread was only for skylines only. They were being made in bulk and they pretty much got the whole interior done, centre console, handbrake, etc.

Caroline, my seat covers were 'sold' on E-Bay before I went on holidays. I haven't received payment for them yet, and the buyer will not call me or return e-mails. If you are interested let me know. I had a 'buy-it-now' price of $250 plus postage of about $25.I am still on hols, but will be back home on the 22nd.

Hey, I just pm'd the guy organising it about a set for my Soarer and he said no worries, they also have Commodores etc that are being done in the group buy. As far as i can see they even had a Mazda MX6 and a few 180's in the first group buy.
I will confirm this and get back to you. Still if anyone is interested they need people to make up numbers so click the link above and email Jetdat.

Have a good one

Lawrence,

Do you know if those seat covers will fit standard Soarer seats though as I noticed in your ad they are electric seats? If they fit I will definitely buy them off you if they are still in good condition?

I don't think there is a deadline as such, It's currently awaiting 1 more person to be a full 20 people group buy, but saying that some of the skyline guys are really wanting to get this done, so i say it will be ending soon. obviously if there are more people interested then they'll definitely take more orders in the group buy.

If you can, email Jetdat on the SAU site he can fill you in on more of the details.

I've paid now, so i'm just waiting for SAU to get the list completed then Ultimate can get started on producing them and shipping them out.

Cheers

Yeah i emailed jetdat. From what i've read on the tread you don't even need to pay up front as long as you advise them that you want in. I might pop down to their warehouse in dandenong and check them out.

Hey that would be good if you go down. and if you do would you be able to check out the colour of their Beige/Tan that is closest to the Soarer's standard beige/Tan.
That's the biggest concern that i have at the moment, is the shade of tan they use... it's hard to tell with the colour sample that was in the group buy post.

Hi guys,

Haven't been on the site for a while (not since the ALSC forum days). But, I saw this ad on eBay too and was wondering how it turned out for the guys that got them? Anyone able to post some pic's/experiences? I have a grey interior and was thinking of some cream retrim but not sure how it'll look...

Thanks
