Seeing beautiful wood get painted over makes me cringe. But that's probably because I've spent too many hours stripping paint off wood around the house, and I guess its a bit different for a car...

It really shows how much better kits that have dark colors look. The factory black/charcoal/light grey switchgear can look really strange with wood kits, this looks nicely matched. Im thinking about the same!

hey thank you all for telling me what you think of the paint job im happy as with it thinkin of givin the motor bike a hit with the same effect when I get one that is hahaha im also goin to take the dicky gear shift selector buttin things out(P,R,D,2,and L)hope you know what i mean. And replace with a piece of frosted perspex that i will get the jewler to ingrave the numbers and letters out and hopfully with some new blue leds behind it it will make the letters and numbers look fiberoptic so i will keep you all posted on how it is going and throw some more pictures up when ive finished cheers
Looks cool! That is a great idea!! I'd put some clear gloss on it too or just buff it to make it smooth though, but that's just a personal choice...

I assume its a pretty tough job pulling all the woodgrain out ?
Nah not that hard. I've done that a year ago when I was polishing my woodgrain. Doors take 5 minutes if not less. The dash perhaps 15, depending on how tight butterfly nuts are behind the dash woodgrain... All you gotta do is just remove the glovebox, easy!
