ok i did a search for this and it was pretty confusing and not to the point.

so, what is needed to retro fit this option into your car.

obviously the button console, this button console is connected to some kind of module (am guessing so) and this module is connected to the seats?? am i on the right track.

also can memory seat function be applied to any electric seats or only the seats which meant to have that option with it.

if anyone knows what they are doing and have done this will be appreciated

thanks

Kanchana, it has been asked before, and the general response is that it's a HUGE and impractical job involving complete wiring harnesses from a donor (kebab!) Ltd and a whole heap of other stuff.

I actually though about that today... It would be nice to have memory seats in my 4.0GT so that one setting could be for a driving position and the other to move the seat so its easy to move off when exiting the vehicle...

But then I just though that would be a very complex job and require a lot of fiddling around and add to more wear and usage of the electric seat motors so NO THANKS! :-)

Yeah, you got it Mike..............a LOT of work for little gain.

If you want gadgets, buy a Ltd, if you want performance keep ya GT.

But it would'a been nice if Toyota had offered ALL the options on ALL models (would make things easier).

Absolutely! Far to much hassle...

Exactly Don, GT for me thanks! Id rather run low 15s rather than high 15s!

Mmmm, It would have been nice to have ALL the options but then you would find some of the more 'expensive' models would have been out done by the cheaper (if they can be called that :-)) vehicle with some of their like features perhaps?

Still some 4.0GTs can be well optioned, like that average one I found that had the CD stacker, LCD mirror, ultra sonic window cleaner, parking antenna front and rear... Still I was glad the owner selling was a prick and didn't tell me it was going to be bought by some one else as I wouldn't have got the FAR better condition 4.0GT with a 1/3 less kilometers!

I don't remember if I had the Super charger but I don't think so, I had headers, BFI and 3" exhaust, all the other runs that evening was between 15.2 -16.02. I think it was just a bloody good run I had.
