Over the past 8 months, I have been progressively designing and fabricating fiberglass gauge pods for a large range of cars, mainly Japan imports. I have been selling the gauge pods for the Nissan Skyline, S13 & Stagea and for a about 6 months now am soon injecting a large amount of funds to increase the range to cover approx 26 different gauge pods types and 15 different cars. See http://www.mearcat.com.au for the current range of prototypes. All these will be available in a couple of months.
My next step is to further improve the range of cars that I cater for, including the Soarer. I live in Perth (NOR) and would like to contact any owners in Perth (preferably also NOR) that have a Toyota Soarer SC300/SC400 that are willing to loan their car for a single weekend for me to utilise. Any car that I have will be stored at my house will sit aside my highly modified R33 in the locked garage and will not be driven AT ALL. Nor will the car be pulled apart in any way - I simply require the car for the shape of the dash.
I have already loaned approx 8 cars from Autoworx in Wangara (Perth-based Japanese car importers) over many weekends and I would freely invite anyone to contact Paul Hewitt at Autoworx for a reference on how well I looked after his cars. I have also loaned other cars from private owners, all of which have been very happy with the treatment of the car while I have had it.
At 31 years old and a business person, I'm not just a young 'hoon' and I regard myself as a very professional person to deal with and take a lot of respect for others and their property.
So if you are seriously interested (no spams please), please email or PM me for more information. I offer a free gauge pod when they are finished or monetary compensation for the use of your car.

Alan - I"d be more than happy to lend you my car - as its kind of not running atm I'm SOR, but only just - I"m across the road from Curtin Uni.
I already have one of the generic Ebay 3-guage pillar pods fitted, but would be very interested in having something that is of a much better fit and quality.
Feel free to give me a ring on 0414 306 366 or email me ferret_tc@hotmail.com if you would like to sort something out. If its possible for you to do whatever you need to do away from your workshop, I'd be happy to give you access to the garage my car is being stored in.

Due to the mess that is made with casting plaster & fibreglass, I prefer not to perform the work at any one else's property.
I am unsure on what design gauge pods will be prototyped, but I plan to meet with Gregg soon to discuss possibilities as he has a spare dash available I'd say that a centre console gauge pod could be on the cards.

To date, nothing has happened with the potential new Soarer gauge pod designs. It seems that no-one (on this forums at least) is interested in getting any new designs fabricated. If anyone in Perth is interested of can help out, please contact me at alan@mearcat.com.au to discuss.

No progress yet. The Soarer model has been put on hold for now. I've just moved to our new house last week and need a few months to finish the house, setup the new workshop, shelving, stock room etc etc before I even think about moving on any new designs.
