My handbrake boot cover is starting to crack. It's in pretty bad shape so I was wondering what alternatives do we have for the handbrake boot? Will a generic one (e.g. AutoTechnica) fit?

There's a guy selling through Ebay for 12.50 Pounds Stg for real leather, all the colours, apparently although he said "brown" or "cream" I'd rather the colour of my door liners, whatever that is, it's a a bit darker than cream, this would look better than brown. If not for the confusion over colour I'd order one. Don't like the standard cover much and they seem to get tatty pretty easily.

Mike, I just bought a black leather handbrake boot from mr.gaiter..... excellent quality leather, precise fit, prompt delivery (I believe it was made on ordering, not from stock). good communications..... I suggest you photograph your colour match and send it to them........

Looks nice, Peter. I'm surprised that someone else hasn't thought of this colour (light tan) it's not as if the Ivory interior on Soarers is exactly rare! (all Pearl Soarers have it plus several other colours, and we all know how common Pearl is!). The gaiters are actually brown, but I reckon they'd look better in the door liner colour.

I just woke up that Mr Gaiter is the guy in UK, Peter, he does them in cream (too light) and brown (too dark) not the light tan (although it's almost "cream") of the door liners and other parts of the interior. Maybe what he calls "cream" is the light tan? Surely he's looked inside a few Soarers?

Mike, if you want, you can have the tan (brown) one that I replaced (see piccie above)..... but beware, it is vinyl, not leather.....let me know by email.... it'll only cost you the postage

Thanks for the offer, Peter, much appreciated. I think though that I'll go for Mr Gaiter's gaiter in brown, since my wife told me she thought my "light tan to match the doors" was a crap idea
I must say the black one you have is a quantum leap over the original, even though I don't especially like black interiors, yours is tasteful.
