That rego sticker is not well placed. Next time, put it in the top corner so the A/C sensor has a clear view of the sky.

From the photo you may have enough room for it to work OK but it ain't bollocks Scott. It makes a difference if the sensor is covered. It will also vary a little with translucency of the label of course. Safest just to keep it out of the way.

Ahh another new thing.

Well done Mike.
I get jacked with the thing as it turns them on under bridges in the daytime.

Peter / Rob, it ain't no myth, it IS a design feature, and it's common to a LOT of Jap imports with "Auto" lights function.

Do we have a listing of all the "Hidden" features of these toys.?.

I am sure that if you press your foot flat to the floor and open the boot at 180 the speed cut will be defeated?

Turning one way increases sensitivity to dark, turning the other way decreases the sensitivity.

As in, if your lights turn on when passing under an overbridge, they are NOT sensitive to darkness enough.
So the ideal is to have them turning on at dusk on a fine day.
Caln't remember which way on the Soarer, but on our old Diamante it was, clockwise to INCREASE sensitivity to darkness, and anti clockwise to DECREASE sensitivity to darkness.
Dunno whether it's the same on a Soarer, but on the Mitsi the parkers would come on first (dusk-ish!), them the headlamps would come on as it got progressively darker.

Soarers are progressive in the evening. What it needs isn't so much sensitivity as a time delay, ie the light change has to exist for 5 seconds before the switch changes state.

I've just had a look at my sticker, and it's pretty much covering the little sensor.

How much of a difference will it make?

Is it worth changing, or wait until rego is due and stick it somewhere else then?

The A/C solar sensor is the one being covered (from last post)
