Just wondering, has anyone heard of the Vinyl/leather (whatever it is) dash on the Soarers cracking from sun damage?
I was going to get a cover for it to prevent this, but if it's never happened before, I dont think mine will be the first, as I'm constantly cleaning it with various conditioning products

Can someone recommend a product to apply to the dash to prevent this from happening? I think I remember advice on this forum not to use Armoral but just not sure.

Yeah, I'm with Pete on this. I have yet to see a single Soarer that's had cracking of the actual dash pad so I don't know where the 80% comes from. I don't think it's a common thing. Door trims and vents are a different story altogether.
I would think a replacement would be reasonably easy to find at a wrecker or from someone on here wrecking a Soarer but actually getting the thing out and replaced is a big job from what I've seen. Could always try a plastic welder like the ones that have fixed door trims and window surround trims. It'd be a lot less hassle than replacing the dash pad.

I've not seen any at the wreckers that were cracked yet. But what you will have to do is find a whole car as the dashes are usually rooted on the 1/2 cuts due to the shower of sparks from being chopped.
