i got mine today (was away all week last week) managed to do the back seats. Question however. with the headrests you obviously need to poke holes for the rods. Can someone give me a rough estimate on where to poke the holes? I don't want to mess mine up.

Alan I just put the covers on first and made sure everything was nice and tight, then felt around and poked the holes with a screwdriver. I don't have rear headrests so no idea if they're the same.
Did you guys use the white string or just the elastic? I was too lazy and used only the elastic, but if I had another crack I'd def use the string, especially for the backseats. At the moment mine aren't looking too 'tight' in the back.

I'm doing all the seats with the white string.
Make back seats turned out gorgeous....follows all the grooves of the seat perfectly. Using just the elastic would have been too easy lol.
The toughest bit so far has been using the white string on my front passenger seat without taking it out. lol I couldnt get all the white string bits through but still got enough to look hot!!

oh my god i just did the back seats took me about 4 hours to do it properly (white strings) but it was well worth it. Theres a huge difference between not using the white strings and using the white strings.
Also for thse with headrests take out the clips that hold them in and place them on top of the seat covers. You'll find that it holds the seat covers down and hides the ugly hole you made for the headrest.

Not yet khan. Once i've finished fitting them i'll take photos.
Christian, how did you get the white strings through on the front seats (bottom cushion)?
i've done the backrest part of the front seats no worries but the electronics gets in the way when you do the bottom cushion. is there a way to take this cushion out?

Ohhhhhh Alan....you poor nieve little boy. HAHAHA
I did my front seats without taking them out. Not sure I would recommend this, but it worked for me. Only problem was lots of laying on the floor and stretching my arms under the seats....lots and lots of cuts and scrapes on my hands....but hey....now I've got a sexy interior. lol.
I just started from the white strings closest to the backing (note: I did not manage to get all the strings through the bottom half of the seat....was just too hard). Now, with the white strings, 1 at a time I pushed them through the correct part of my seat, pushed down on the needle with a butter knife/flat screw driver, and then felt around under the seat till I could locate the tip of the needle. Then grabbed it with pliers under the seat, and pulled as hard as my outstretched arms could. lol. It is actually quite hard to explain, It would be a lot easier to show.
I couldnt get any of the front row of white strings through the seat, as there is some sought of metal bracket under the seat blocking it.
Also....perhaps the hardest part....which I never thought would be hard (maybe it was just me), but getting the 2 elastic straps down the side of the drivers seat (the side where the seat adjustments are/ door is). Mine are not electric, they have the big round knobs....and I could not bloody get the elastic down there for ages....I got sooo many cuts and scrapes....and was sweating, swearing ....ect. I just get a little frustrated lol.

Hi guys after a long weekend of doing the seat covers (all up it took aprox 8 hours) i have finally finished the install. During my install i went from using various tools to pulling the white threads though but found that using a hard paper clip to be the most effective along with some pliars.
For those of you who have gotten the center console armrest cover thingy note that to install it properly you need to remove the lid and undo all the screws (theres about 16 of them from memory).
If you guys want more photos posted i have taken heaps.

Hey, These covers go over the existing material. This is good as it adds to the padding making the seat more comfortable, and its also good if you ever wanted to take the covers off for some reason, you would still have the factory cloth underneath.
Alan, Your seats look good mate, good job installing them!! I'm looking forward to the next soarer event so we can show off our gear lol.
