I feel it is my responsibilty to share my knowledge on the subject:

The ones from hoppers look quite good.

Downsides:
Have to rip off all the factory cloth from the seats...making it completely irreversible. (which wouldnt be a problem if the covers were a permanent replacement) However, the reason those ones are cheaper is because the material is cheaper and lower quality. I have heard it cracks a lot easier, and gets quite sticky in the sun as the material is plastic based.

Upsides:
Look good, can choose a range of logo's, cheaper.

Just understand...they are cheaper for a reason....but still quite good value in my opinion. I suggest...just research before commiting to something like this...I did...and started the group buy as a result.

Wow they look amazing for the price. I think the fact that you need to remove the existing trim is a good thing. Who is going to take their trim out when they sell their car?

This solution makes it a proper DIY retrim. Should provide a better fit than covers as the underlying foam will fill the new trim tight rather than covers trying to conform to the factory trim.

Certainly would be worth checking the quality differences between the covers and these (if there are any).

Retrim FTW!

Yeh, I agree...the hoppers ones look quite good. I just didnt want to gamble with the quality.

All I can honestly say is that the material from the dandy guy...ask anyone that has seen/felt it, it is incredible....cannot tell if its the real thing or not...not 1 person has noticed its not real leather.

Probably the same with the hoppers covers...i guess its just the long term wear and tear that shows the difference. A guy that had the hoppers covers fitted actually went to the dandy supplier because his hoppers covers were all cracked so he wanted the dandy supplier to fix it up.

I dunno, I feel bad kinda knocking a product, but I'm just saying what I have heard and what I know. I'm sure anyone who got the hoppers covers would be very happy...as they are obviously a great upgrade from stock.

If anyone gets them...let me know your thoughts.

Hey Christian how long did the person have the hopper covers on before they cracked? How long have the hopper ones been around for?

Not sure how long the place has been around...also not sure how long they took to crack.

But you never know, the guy may have neglected them or something.

Just ask him to give you a guarantee of 100% perfect fit....a guarantee against cracking....and a guarantee not to fade. Also ask him if they are UV resistant. These are the guarantee's given by the dandenong supplier.

Also, the dandy material has a laminated layer of foam underneath, making it more comfortable. And the fact that it is laminated means that it will never come off...it is made to be part of the material.

Does anyone know any more about the hoppers covers?

my car was the test/template car for the retrim covers in hoppers crossing,

i was gonna get the ones in dandy but these are much higher quality and way better fit.
its an actual retrim, not just covers,
i saw seats he trimmed 5 years ago in his fto and they have stood the test of time.

he also said i could organise a group buy for you guys at discounted price if you guys are keen

the material used it high quality from germany.
i had mine fitted by him as my car was the test car. but i dont think he fits them as hes concentrating on production and import.

Evan, the guy in Dandy can do covers for any car. If he doesnt have a template, he just needs to measure one up and he can make em.

But I'm sure the guy in hoppers could do it also.

Good luck with the group buy guys! Hope it all works out.

If there's a group buy let us know :-)

Which backseat type was the template? Adjustable headrests or fixed? Do you have any pics the trim?
