I did it all myself, basically same process as patrick's
I used K&H vynal paint (same differant can).
planet soarer re trimmed wheel handbrake and gear stick.
The center gear stick surround ashtray and aircon display was just polished with brasso! thix makes it come up shiny and look mint! i also did it on the panel above the steering wheel where the clock buttons are ect. (and don't worry it wont polish off the white text on the radio and stuff)

you need to take off the front seatbelts first. These have bolts under the plastic bit. Also need to take out the back seats. The bottom half of the rear seats is clipped in. The top half have three bolts holding the bottom in. After that lift.

Can anyone suggest a pro in Melbourne who would do the black respray? I don't trust myself with something like that, I'd be sure to mess it up somehow!

I remember a while ago there was a fix it day at S&L and there was a company called uticolour or something.
I got a quote off them a while back just to spray the top half of my interior, and fix the broken drivers door. It was around $240 or so if that helps and they come to you.

hey guy,
its easier than it looks mate. Its 10 times easier with 2 guys doing it, as me and pat found.
Just get a mate to come over and spend a day....pull out all the lower panels...starting from the bottom up. Then lay them on a drop sheet, prep them and spray (light coats so it doesnt run), then let it dry....overnight would be even better but not a must, then fit it all back in. For the first couple of days....try not to scratch any of the panels cause it will take the black off and look (my sis got in and her school bag dragged along the bottom of the door.....a few swear words later....and I had to re-spray it. lol)

Ooooh Zimmer, I'd be absolutely LIVID if someone did that.
I'll no doubt take a look and see if I'd be happy doing it myself. My biggest issue is usually pulling the panels out without scratching or damaging something. I spoke with Wes from Uticolor and he rekons (without seeing the car) that somewhere between $200 - $600 would see the entire interior recoloured. Meanwhile, I plan to photoshop a couple of pics tonight to see what colour combo would look good. The black and ivory above looks good, but I'll possibly go something even closer to white to keep with the exterior.

Ouch i spoke to a guy at a trim company yesterday who claims to know soarers well, he said a ballpark of $1600-$2000 just to spray the damn vinyl black. As a result i'll be doing it myself in a few weeks...

Hiya, Yesterday i replaced my drivers side door skin as it was badly broken. I decided to test paint the old skin so i knew what i was doing. This morning i went out side to check out my handy work and noticed the paint on the door trim was coming off.
The hard parts of the door skin peeled off only. I am using black vynal spray paint, so why is it peeling off.
Also does any one know of a product i can use to re colour my leather seats.
