Perry, mine does the same thing, although I THINK it only does it if it is in gear. P or N, I don't think it auto-locks again.
Never really took notice if I was in gear or not...

A USA drivers side mechanism fitted to a passengers side Jap door will unlock when the handle is pulled.

I rang the previous owner of our Snoarer this afternoon, and he confirmed that he DID import some American "Bit or other", to fix this very problem.

Jeff, has effectively confirmed this.......COOL Eh!.

I rang Lexus in Chicago a while back and they told me that I was dreaming when I asked to order their drivers side handle, cos it was exactly the same as ours. Shows how little they know

the door locking module can be modified to unlock both doors when the car is turned off... Steve Taun does them....

Call me old fashioned, but I'll always pick a mechanical solution over an electrical one if possible but cheers for the heads up

the alarm i fitted locks the doors when you have your foot on thebrake pedal then unlocks both doors when ignition is turned off...
