This was my fall project, I've still got a lot of work to do come this summer, but I'm interested in some feed back.
Interior colors - BMW M3 Blue and White Original wood panels were sprayed black, then covered with carbon fiber vinyl. The vinyl actually has a metal weave in it to make it reflective (very close to real carbon fiber)
The doors have not yet been done to match, I'll add some images when they're complete.
These are the original fabric seats, my buddy at the paint / detailing place was able to make a mix for a high-dye concentration paint that would dye the seats and not leave them feeling like sandpaper.
Very very slow process, spray one day, brush out the paint, then spray again. Each seat took 5 coats, and could go for another one.
Original floor mats were died to a matching darker blue (not pictured)
Underdash blue LED lighting as well as lighting behind the rear headrests in rear window. (not pictured)
For the rear shelf: Sprayed the existing shelf black to match rear speakers. I used the existing 8" factory sub hole to mount a 10" JL sub. It sits just above the gas tank x_X a very tight fit. Built a proper raised ring for the sub, however I was only able to install this while the rear window was removed.
Added Clarion 6x9's to the rear shelf. (system sounds awesome and looks great.
I want to re-mount this at some point in the future, by removing the entire rear shelf and customizing my own.

Hahahaha well I knew going into it that it wouldn't be for everyone. I've had people who love it, people who say it looks like a Transformer and people who hate it.
As for the paint, all the items were prepped / primed and coated with Pla-Stick, (a plastic / vinyl pre-paint primer) and so far no problem. This is my first major project with an interior so I took a lot of advice from a lot of the more experienced guys around here.
I just wasn't a fan of the original two tone gray and wood trim. I love the car, and the interior definitely turns heads.

Hey Jesse, At the end of the day it dosent matter what anyone else here thinks its your car, you paid for it, and its your hard work and money going into it, and if you like it, then thats all that matters, i admire that, and i take my hat off to you for doing something different

Is that one of the cheap-ish touchscreen head units off ebay? I looked into those and nearly pulled the trigger (for the price) but had the feeling that sound quality would suffer due to weak signal.
