hey guys, my door trims look like they're in great condition but when removed i found there are only like 3 - 4 main anchor points. the rest have broken off. anyone have ideas of how to fix the trim so the other anchor points actually do something? example is that the places where the plastic plugs go have broken. new trims are like $1400 each!! has to be a much cheaper way to fix them. thanks

I just broke one of mine off.. I have seen some recently on ebay and at a few wreckers a while back. You will just have to ring around I suppose. Good luck

I've used JB Weld (not commonly available in Au but can be gotten from UK< US and NZ) to repair and reinforce my spare door trim.
Unfortunately, while in transit to WA and awaiting my stuff from Norfolk, I taped the area where the trims crack using "Fragile" tape which is orange and this has now discoloured the trim.

My passenger side door left arm rest where people pull the door shut lost almost all of its anchor points and was pulling apart. I just removed the trim and drilled new holes and used some cheap metal brackets I got at bunnings to attach the rest to the trim again. It is super strong now and no rattles. Can't see the brackets either from inside the car.

You can also buy aluminium strips from Bunnings, cut and drill them to make brackets/big washers etc, and glue in place with gobs of 5 minute Arladite...
