Thanks George, the Recaro's are very nice.
Wtth the wheel and the seats it feel s LOT sportier to drive. Sitting lower and with more direct steering and more lateral support I find myself cornering faster than before :-)
I picked up the seats off trademe.co.nz - buysellexchange etc. I looked at a few sets of seats. When buying second hand it's important to view the seats as pictures don't tell the full story.
I got a good price on the seats, it cost me the same amount to get rails and mounts and bolts to fit them so you can work out what they cost. I would have loved a set of black Bride BrixII seats but at $1200 NZ a seat they weren't really an option.
I bought the Momo wheel off Ebay in the states. Took 6 days for delivery which was only $19.00US. I got the boss off trademe.co.nz again.

The boss is the wrong boss and there is no provision for the clock spring through which the cruise control is connected.
There isn't actually many options for a boss that supports cruise control. Pretty much all the available units don't have a mount for the cruise.
There was an option through this board but that's stopped, there is a JDM boss for $188US !! or all the others don't have the physical mounting point for cruise.
I am hoping once I get the right boss with the wiring connector provision that I can mount the stalk to the boss by making a little adapter bracket and trimming the outside sleeve.

Been meaning to do that since I swapped out my wheel, still haven't got round to it yet, where are the pics of the slotted rotors??

G'day Matt,
The recaros look great. I'm still working on making a set of seat rails to fit my buckets to the original electric bases.
I got myself a HKB sports boss kit for my soarer to suit the cruise control. It is the one with the three buttons on the top of the boss. I think it cost me $84 delivered to my door. The only problem i have is the airbag light.

Thanks Paul.
The airbag light can be fooled by inserting a resistor across the airbag wiring - not sure of the value of the resistor but it shouldn't be too hard to find.
Yeah I saw the HKB boss but I don't want little buttons on my wheel, I want to keep the cruise stalk. Any pics of it installed?
Matt.

No worries Matt.
The cruise plugs straight in. The horn needed a seperate earth due to my twin buttons. Very simple though and quite cheap too. More then happy to give some wiring advice if need be and let you know where to get one. Definately beats paying $200 for a boss

What boss did you go with?
Also an HKB one, although didn't get the cruise boss, but it came with the cutout and the right connector for the horn. Can probably dig out the box and get the OT number for you if you can't find one.
What I was going to try to do was hope that the holes line up with the boss bolt holes (either the ones currently being used or the spares for the other brands) and hope there's enough clearance in the centre of the boss for the stalk. Having a quick look, the mounting should be workable, but not sure on the clearance issue.
One day I might get bored enough to take the wheel back off, but since I hardly use cruise it's not high on my todo list.
