Hey there, really want a set of leather electric seats for my 94 TT. Was just wondering how tricky they were to install and if I would need different rails etc. to suit it or if the electric seats would fit on the original rails without too much hassle?

there a direct replacement , the rails are the same, and an auto electriction can wire them up, mine cost me about $40 to get done.

its two wires, positive and ground. you can tap into the electric lumber wires if you want.

You'll find that the drivers seat and the passenger seat will have 2 different types of plugs.

The drivers side pin out is somewhere on the forums, a quick search should net them for you. Basically its one +12v and 3 grounds that need to be connect for all the functions to work.

As Kanchana said, used the factory lumber wires. Be careful not to short it on anything, otherwise you'll need to replace the 30A fuse that controls the doors, boot and petrol lid.

The passenger side is a bit different, if you have the pov pack jzz30, you'll need to send a +12v line across. I spliced mine from the lumbar support and slid it underneath the trans tunnel cover. You may need to send a ground wire across.

I can get the pinouts if you need them, otherwise use a multimeter and a 12v battery and test wire to get all the functions.

Finally, ground the safety belt plug (just cut and connect the 2 wires together) to get rid of the warning.
