One of the things that really pissed me off about this site when i had my last car is that when you post something that you think will help other members, there is always someone waiting to make you look like a dickhead for trying to help.
Thanks Rob

The ones on ebay were a poor fit apparently. I wish they had photos of the actual product. John have you seen these in person?

Also please note part 8 will not fit in your soarer so it would be good if you could ask them to cut only the big hole and not the little hole above it in part 8

I hear you John.

We had a problem a while ago with smart arses making stupid or unhelpful comments when members posted up something of interest.

A word to the wise (or not so, in some cases!). If you don't have anything CONSTRUCTIVE to say...........butt out and let the adults have their say!

Nobody minds a humorous or helpful comment, but leave the kiddy comments off the forum.

Yeah, most of the parts wont go due to the whole LHD thing... the section that goes around the shifter is another example... unfortunate because they had some really good trim options there :-)

nice find though... damn those yankees and their backwards driving ways ;) hehe

I had a quick look and if you choose rhd and Soarer then the parts appear to be correct.

Shame they don't do a manual centre section.

Has anyone had any experience with these?

Cheers
Matt.

No point just updating one person by email, update here on this thread with pics as I am sure a lot of people would be interested to see the fitment.

How much was shipping to Aus?

I have a dvd player in my dash so I chose "audio type c" which appears to have the right bits. Tried to pay for my kit using Visa but the site says it will not accept cards issued outside of USA, so have emailled them, asking for alternate payment methods - will post result for those interested

Have looked at Importscene, but they only have timber finish and i like the carbonfibre look,so will hang in there for a few days ,hopefully "exotic" will come up with a method of payment

Correction, Importscene do have Carbonfibre dashkits and you can specify that you have manual trans and a appropriate piece will be included.Their kit does not include pieces that cover the strip that has centre vents in it or the ones that have door opener in them, so I'll wait for "exotic" at this point

Just to clarify the comments John was complaining about were mine, I was simply pointing out that these kits were available on Ebay some time ago for a fair bit cheaper, I in no way intended to insult anyone and deleted the comment but I thought it may be worth a response seeing as though everyone else has had there own comments.

Some of the kits on Ebay are actually from the same company, I have just found another 20 piece kit if anyone is interested.

Hmm cannot seem to find my camera, will look tomorrow for it.

Oh and Rob i didn't see your comment, i just thought John was speaking generally.

Anyway these are some pics i took ages ago for the templates for that 20 piece kit that Rob mentioned. I got the templates from the seller when i was organising the group buy to see how they fit.

http://s217.photobucket.com/albums/cc89/scotty_001/?start=all&mediafilter=images

All though they did seem to fit well, i bought a different dash kit which had some other pieces and was of better quality. Which i will post up pics of soon, and never ended up using.

Bravo. The vast majority of people on this (VERY valuable and entertaining) forum seem to be constructive and friendly. There are a few juveniles though, and they cause irritation more than anything else (to be clear - not in this thread). Suggest just ignoring them until their balls drop and they grow some sense.

James, i have not used them. They are brand new with tape on back ready for use. I never used them as i was, and am still planning of doing black interior conversion.

The colour is pretty close, but i was going to use some clear coat on my woodgrain panels to darken them up to match these better.

That first photo shows the colour pretty well.
And you can see the woodgrain pattern very clearly in the pieces.

Rob, you are quite right, I did not see your post on the matter and didn't think it would be you (I assumed some other "Random" Rob), as you don't do dumb posts........."I see dumb posts" lol.
So apologies for that Faux Pas!

And YES, your post was constructive.

If you can save a member or members a few bucks by mentioning an alternative source (tomato!) for things n' stuff.........then go right ahead and post the bugger up!.

As Abe Lincoln (Continental?) said the other Century; "You Can Please Some of the Dudes Some of the Time, but You Can't Please All of the Dudes All of the Time"

ps; Scott..........am LOVIN your kit. Brings new meaning to the word COMPREHENSIVE!.
