Hey guys, my sunroof seal is gone, water doesnt come in, but wind does at hwy speeds. I went to toyota and the say its not sold as a seperate part, and that it comes with the glass. So im stumped. Dont know what im meant to do, personally I think its pretty stupid because toyota should know first thing to go is the rubber seal.
anyway any insight or help would be greatly appreaciated. thanx

Hi Sam is it the rubber seal around the window gone
or could it be the seal around the edge of the sunroof assembly
I have a cracked sunroof and the rubber around the glass looks ok, just not sure how simple it is to remove from around the glass.
The glass panel itself can easily be removed.
The other is to put a new seal around the sunroof assembly. You can buy something similar at Bunnings, or any hardware store, its a strip of foam thats used to insulate doors and windows in the home. Its got sticky stuff along one edge, kind of like double sided tape.
To remove it is pretty much removal of seats, rear door trim panels, and head lining. Can be done but not a 5 min job!!
