He is probably on holiday. Try again after the 9th, or perhaps someone else knows when he will be available. Andrew is well known here, runs a good business and does respond, although not always immediately

David, I contacted him via email and the postage for the key blank was $5 and this was almost 2 years ago... But the key cutting was $60, and i'm sure you can find someone that can cut the key for less..

$60 to cut the key? What gives... I managed to score a blank & cutting for $25 all up (around 4 years ago). I suggest a bit of shopping around. While we're on the topic of keys, does anyone know what the difference (physically) is between a valet and regular key. I don't have a copy of the valet key for mine, and would like to get one cut. I know on my last Toyota, the last few mm of the key pattern is removed. Does anyone have a proper set who can verify if this is still the case?

Normally, the valet key does not work in the glovebox or boot. The car also has a valet switch which disables the interior boot switch. The idea is that he can drive away with your car but the bugger is going to have to work to nick your chocolate and spare

It is what I paid here for a second one. Rip-off, schmip-off. You found a cheaper quality deal? Does they guy drive a new Merc, or does he make a living?

I had a generic blank from the lock shop cut and it cost that much to do. Saved on the blank though. It looks the same as the Toyota one (amazing!) just without the griffin, or if you prefer, the gryphon.

Hey, sorry if this issue has already been addressed but I recently contacted Andrew and he no longer sells the blank keys. So I was wondering if anyone knows where you can still get these. I was more after a blank with with either the griffon or the toyota logo. Thanks

Thanks for your help guys. The Lexus ones seem really easy to come by, the toyota ones however really difficult. I've already got a silca one which is my only key and seeing how I was getting another one I thought I might as well get something that matches the car. I guess you can get one from Toyota? Any idea on pricing? If not guess I'll just get another generic one. Cheers

hey chaps, i was looking at getting a key and you can get a "secondary" key that is the same as a landcruiser 100 series. the primary key for the 100 series has the security chip in it. last time i checked from my toyota dealer i think they were like $40 - $50aud. Also to add, this is just the key blank as well. Pretty much, go to your toyota dealer, and just say, i would like to get a key blank for a toyota soarer. i know some dealerships will look at you with disgust, where as some will be more than happy to. For anyone on the sunshine coast, Sunshine Toyota in Currimundi is the best for help and assistance when it comes to spare parts
