I had this car a couple of weeks now and what i thought was nothing, turned out to be a door trim crack - its a nice unsuspecting curved crack... not to bad tho... oh well i have to repair it some time in the new year!
can you see it?? looks me a while to find it! only noticed yesterday At first i thought it was part of the car design!

Yeah I have a similar crack on my passenger door. My drivers door on the other hand is rooted. I ended up gluing the speaker cover in as it fell out, one the outside of the window controls has also broken so it's glued in there as well now.
An interior place should be able to repair it.
Have to expect some wear and tear on interior with a door as heavy as ours.
I got cracks like that on my driver's side trim near the speaker. I didn't have it until until I took the trim off. The crack was already there there underneath, but the vinyl wasn't cracked yet. I should have been more careful taking it off grrr. Take the trim apart and you will see cracks all over the place especially on the lowest part where you got the three screws attaching the trim to the door, and few other screw hole places. Took me like half an hour just glueing all that stuff. If you got squeeks when you pull on the door to close it or whatever this will fix the problem. The door trim will also feel a lot firmer, and won't be flexing as much if you do up the screws. Pay good attention to where the power window controls are, that's what does most of the squeeking if it's cracked up. It's good preventative maintenance too...

Par for the course on these beasties. i believe there was a recent post from a member who had them repaired for around $200 - not sure if that included plastic welding to prevent it happening again

About 3/4 of the Soarers I've seen have either one or both door trims cracked like that. I replaced the drivers side door pocket with a brand new one for about $250. If and when you get around to taking it off the car you'll probably freak at just how badly it's disintegrating on the inside. The driver's side, even if it's not showing cracking externally, will probably be even worse. One of the first places to fall apart is along the screw holes along the bottom of the door.
Before I put the new one on I reinforced around the speaker grille and used decent sized washers under all the mounting screw heads to more evenly distribute the load at those points.

My bad. Misquoted the price. Was a while ago now but now that I dug out the receipt it was bit more than I thought. Was $300 and that was nearly a year ago. Worth every penny though.
PS.....I got it through Neil Griffiths, the bloody champ!
By the way, that is just for the door POCKET, which is the lower section with the speaker hole and map pocket thingy that gives all the problems. It does NOT include the padded armrest. Just in case anyone thought that's for the whole door trim. You simply use the existing door trim and armrest and install the new lower section.

So the lower section is the part with all the cracks in it? like my left door with the crack above the 4" speaker, and the crack near the window controls?
