Daniel T, I'd doubt that wood (the trim is real wood) would chrome-plate very well. Quite aside from the waste... Good chroming used to mean: a very smooth polish, copper plating followed by nickel then the chrome. I have seen chrome plated plastic (perhaps the copper & nickel is superfluous) doesn't really work for long. I think the plastic flexes too much and cracks the chrome.
hmmm....ive seen it before..and it looked ok..i might be painting them tomorrow now anyways... ( jus for fun ) interior is gonna go thru a lot of test work haha...
ill find somethign i like sooon !
but i love that shifter!.. who was doing the deal on the shifter agesss ago?

Can't remember exactly Vinh but from memory there wasn't much change out of $300. The bulk of the cost was in the plastic chroming. There's more work in it than you'd first think because the shifter has to be dismantled plus there has to be some work done to ensure that there's clearance for the overdrive button to still move in and out smoothly once the layer of plastic chroming is applied. Then there's the leather work, and postage each way. Add's up, and I'm sure there's people who reckon it's a waste but given the custom Recaro interior in Denise's car we reckon it was well worth it to add to the look.
Also, when you consider the cost of a Levoc shifter, it's not a bad option and suits the interior of Denise's car better than a Levoc would.

Wow, that's a pretty hefty price but it sounds like it's worth it. I'll probably contact you for more info or something when I have a spare $300 laying around (which would probably be NEVER! haha)
