This is really strange.

Ok, my seat belts don't work, so I take the trims off to see what the problem is.

When you hold the seat belt in my hand then tug it to see if it works, the belt works perfectly. However when you bolt it back into place and tug it nothing happens.

Its so frustrating don't know what the issue is

I know the car has been in an accident,(previous owner), would that cause the seat belts to become faulty?

Also, this problem is for all four of my seat belts in the car.

Why have you taken them out?

The angle of the retractor unit will affect it's operation so if they aren't fitted correctly they won't work.

Matt.

I'm doing this with my dad, he's a panel beater.
The seat belt doesn't grab(lock) at the fitted angle. There is only one locating pin, so we have fitted seat belt correctly. However, when seat belt is half bolted, or loose it locks like it should???
We took the seat belt off because i noticed that it wasn't locking, when i bought the car.

Any ideas???

Are they the factory belts? If they are then this is normal - they will function correctly in an accident.
