OK, need some pictures of some custom Soarer door trim themes for inspiration. Anyone have any good pictures hidden away?

Here's what i did to mine

Upload

It has black micro swede on the main part, Cream on the handle

I used satin black interior paint to do the main part of the handle with the speaker port on it.

With the micro swede, i only glued the border of the cut out to the original door trim to leave it with a soft feel.

I also took the carpet off and put more micro swede there.

I fibreglassed over the speaker openings (these are where the trims break all the time), and then drilled holes through to allow the sound to penetrate.

Satin Black Septone vinyl spray on everything except the door pods. These are covered in black Microsuede.

Installed new tweeters, and modified the covers so these peek through.

Lawrence - your interior looks awesome. Very neat job. You should do a full right up showing off the various parts sometime.

Thanks Nathan, they are Supra fronts and Soarer rears, with Ultimate Autotrim pleather seat covers.

They are the same ones that were (are?) organised by the Christian Zimmer group buy.

Great stuff, keep them coming fellas.

Reason I ask is that I have done most of my interior, with only the door trims left to go. This is what it looks like as of now:

Was thinking of doing my roof lining in dark red or black microsuede. Only bit I'm stuck on is the door trims, so any other pictures would be great.

i say replace the black arm rest on the door with red, and the speaker cover in red too. i think you should do the roof in black, red..seems weird. looking good btw :-)

Vinh, you're just getting bored mate. You can't improve on perfection. Do the roof in black and maybe see if you can move the dvd player in a bit to make it sit more flush with the a/c controls then leave it alone and keep a photo of a crappy spruce interior on you to remind you every now and then just how good your interior is.

That's what I was thinking Ali. Red perforated leather on the arm rest, red speaker and tweeter covers and possibly red Jesus handles. I'm also going to close off and give a bottom to the arm rest, so that I can store stuff there (wallet, phone, etc.) I'll post up pictures once done.

Sebastian, the DVD player unfortunately won't move any further back as the cables won't be able to plug into the back of the head unit. It does look a bit better when the screen is up though.

Hey Vinh your interior looks amazing! Is that a painted black interior or was it factory black? Not sure if its just the photos but it kind of looks like the sides of your center console have been painted and its a slight shade different to your dash etc? Is this the case? i bring it up because i really want to either paint the sides of my center console or at least give them a really good clean on my factory black interior! they look really cruddy atm! But yeah i was worried it would look abit silly or stand out to much against the factory black if i painted it! Really cool interior though man!

Hey Steve, thanks! The black interior is indeed factory. Centre console has been spray painted the same colours as my exterior by my painter.

I'm not sure what method he used so can't really help you out if you're the DIY type :-(
