As someone who doesn't especially like black as an interior colour (especially for hot climes) it didn't worry me much. I wondered if the silver bit were painted, or optional bits (my Wizard has fake "brushed aluminium" bits which are dealer fitted, I think. Not factory, but not "aftermarket" either.

The top silver trims look pretty nice, I was considering doing that to my new one. I did the wood trim on my old Soarer in silver too.

Seems sacriligious to me to cover real birdseye maple with mere paint.. but each to their own

GT-T models it was just black plastic, so no hideous woodgrain has been painted

It really doesnt look that bad over all.. but thats just my opinion. Mine was gray interior with dark blue bride seats, a momo wheel and the wood grain trim.. so over all it really doesnt look that bad

| I am in the process of changing over my wood to carbon fibre. I have also swapped out my seats for a set of Supra TT black & graphite leather seats.. Still more to do yet though but you get the idea from the pictures... Yesterdays progress, installed the seats
Today, removed old shifter and some wood kit replaced with Carbon fibre
Still more to do yet, I will paint the center surround and also paint over the main wood bits on the dash/doors... Back seats will also be recovered to match the fronts |

They can be taken off. You need to use a hairdryer to heat them up a bit then slowly peel back. I then cleaned the residue from the glue with some isopropyl alcohol, then just re-applied the new dash bits. Not too hard of a job...

Joseph are you also doing the woodgrain bits on the doors (window switches) in carbon fibre and if so would you be interested in a swap for some plain (spruce ones) or even sell the woodgrain bits if they come off ???

The Supra seats are nice aren't they Joseph? I put a set of freshly retrimmed ones into mine about 3 months ago. Lovely upgrade. Only thing is, they sit lower, but being 180cm tall it just gave me a bit more head room

Brett, I was just going to paint over the wood grain 'look' switches that I have now. I do still have the door switch surrounds from my wood kit (metallic burl) that I purchased from Import Scene that I never used because I already had these switches with the car when I originally bought her. I could send you the bits left over from that kit for the switches if you like just cover the postage and they are yours. Simon, yes they are nice. They hold me much better then the stock Soarer seats. I am also 180cm so the lower profile is fine with me. I assume that you also hacked the wiring for the drivers seat to retain the electric functions ? What (if anything) did you do about the seat belt warning lights ?

Yes, I modified the wiring so the Supra seat would still be powered. Still made it easily removable just in case I ever have to pull it out. Hmmm, good question about the seat belt warning lights. Don't even know if they were hooked up to begin with. I'll check next time I have the seat out.

If you have the time/money, id like to see white in place of alot of that red.. perhaps not on the steering wheel but on other bits would be interesting.. =P
