I have searched about but with no luck... Maybe I am not searching right because I know I read about it somewhere...

Anyway, does anyone know the process for removing the wood strip on the dash ?

Maybe a link to a thread or some pictures would be a great help...

Joe here's a link and some personal advice Joe, remove glovebox...see

http://soarercentral.com/alsc-forum/messages/5/3283.html

The centre strip is held on by three wingnuts which may be v tight. I used
pliers to free them. It's pretty straight forward when you get your head in
the passenger footwell and look up. There's a spring clip on the RH end of
the trim panel. Prise this off with a taped-up flat driver blade.

Thank you Peter.

My problem now is that I have my Fcon and my EVC boost controller/display mounted in my glove box with the wiring running right through the back.

I wish for once I could get something done on the car without the dramas.

Joe, I recall someone used a spanner to loosen the wingnuts. Doesn't help you with the glovebox problem though :-)
