You would need to take the door lining off and then remove that section of trim. You will find it is made from plastic and is common for it to break as yours has. The remedy is to reinforce the piece of plastic. I have done this with a short length of aluminium both screwed and glued so as it cannot happen again.

Cheers guys, but mine isn't broken I want to avoid this from happening to mine in the near future. How can I PREVENT this? I will consider conditioning my leather every 3 months perhaps?

Also get some tint so it doesnt crack from the sun in summer. Not sure how much it helps but ill be doing it soon as finding black non cracked ones for sale is impossible.

Buy a spruce one then and use some VHT vinyl dye on it then, works a treat.
I have a spruce interior and have dyed the top half of my interior in VHT gloss black, and the bottom half in tan, retrim of seats in tan leather to come. Looks just like the SC430

Nah not a fan of the VHT or anything non standard. I would consider it if i had a non black interior but if something breaks i want factory black for this car as its factory black inside.
