On the left is our old filter, on the right a new one (there were two sets of filters in the box, at the top). The interesting thing is the new one didn't have the small flattened section, but it went straight in with no problems. The filters came from US- for Lexus SC.

My new filters looked the same as your old ones. (Not dirty, of course)

I don't have the part no's handy.

It looks as though your new ones could let horrible, dirty, unfiltered air around the sides and into the cabin ventilation system. :-)

Maybe the US spec cars had different ducting or something??

It's been mentioned on the forums before that the Jap and US AC filters are different and shouldn't be interchanged.

The only difference was the cut-away section, where the material's flattened. Surprisingly enough the new filter went straight in with no drama, and doesn't appear to leak. Not that we really need to filter the beautiful sweet pure air out here:-)

It looks a bit smaller in the picture.
