hey guys i just recently purchased some rather nicely looked after Grey front leather seats for my Soarer only thing is the looms don't match and i was wondering if anyone could shed some light or direct me in the right direction as to how i retro fit the electric seats from the UZZ31 to the JZZ30. Ive been told u can just change the cushioning but i couldn't find anything on that and from what i can tell just changing the loom was the easiest way.

I put uzz30 seats in my 31 and only used the wires that that colour matched with the 31 plugs. I dont know how you will go going the other way as the 31 seats have a seat ecu in them. it is probably worth hooking the matching wires up with a bridge (3 from memory )and trying chances are the controls should work you just wont have any of the seat memory functions

I have UZZ31 seats in my other Soarer, will have a look at the wires tomorrow and let you know. From memory its only a couple of wires but you won't retain memory function.

Hi,
I had a Similar situation with a Celsior, I had to put memory seats into a car with no provision for the memory seats on the main loom on the car
It seems the Memory computer controls power to the motors. At first I tried getting a pinout diagram for the memoery computer to see which pins have power provided to them, so I applied power to the appropriate pins but nothing worked, most likely because i shorted the wrong wires and damaged something in the computer. So first thing to try is find a pinout diagram and provide power to the ecu in the correct places, it should all work.
Failing that, in my case I had to directly run wires from the switch and solder them on the circuit board to the appropriate relays for forward/backward for each motor. Time consuming finding out which relays are for which motor and polarity (There are two relays for each motor, one for forward, and reverse polarity to spin motor the other way)
Added a sheet of plastic on the bottom of the board to prevent the wires touching the case, also had to cut out a big hole in the side of the computer to allow all the extra wires to pass through somewhere.

The way to find out would be to find somebody with a UZZ31 and use a multimeter to see which pins coming from their loom going to the seat have +12v, that way you know what wires you need to apply +12v on your seats main connector.
Otherwise you'll have to do what I did, manually wire up the switches to trigger the Relays inside the ECU for each motor.
