Hey guys im getting fed up with my boot LED light. To be totally honest the only white light in my car that is bright enough for my liking in the light in the roof lining that goes on when the door is open and even that is a filament globe that had the glass coloured in with a blue permanent marker by the previous owner. Can we please start a thread of where and at what cost we can get LED light that is bright enough. Specifically i think most go white light so that would be the main aim, but anything people would recommend would be great.
So if people can also post pics but any good recommended retailers nad products to watch out for would make it easier for others to track down.
Format: Colour Name of the brand/ where they can be bought Cost Photo of installed light if available.
What do you guys reckon, i know there is already quite a few lighting threads but most are just about the type of LEDs needed or how to replace them.

yeah i bought a wedge globe had 9 little blue LED's on it, fitted straight into the middle of the roof light, and bought single bright blue wedge globes for the doors.. really simple stuff
local car shop? wedge type globes the one with 9 LED's was about 20 bucks? the others are like 2 for 14? or something

I bought these off ebay. I'm planning on installing a strip on the underside of the bootlid, in front of the catch. Hopefully it will be strong enough and provide a decent spread of light.

Brett how bright are they mate? The LED light i have in the boot is crap so thats the main one im after. But if you good give a brightness rating for those LEDs from the guide that would be sweet.

Ty Mackay, i have use a simple super glue. just 4-6 spots of glue. it's very strong.
you need 1 meter for 2 headlight. 45 cm each.
if you need, i can make a photo-tutorial how to make a led interior light. but, i'm not sure, that you can find all kind of led strips in your country. it's more than 8 kinds of led lamps to use... I will do another soarer in next week, and will have a chance to show you how to do it.

Kirill please do a photo tutorial as i had planned to do this over 2 years ago now to have the Audi style lights and its looks the best like you have done it, thats exactly how i planned on doing mine. So a photo tutorial would be great and we could probably get all the LEds from the US is they are not available here.

yeah i know you were talking about interior but if you could make one for headlights ill definatly give you a hand! my natural language is english and i still dont know it! haha!
I wouldn't recommend the particular interior dome light that I listed, segments started blinking and dying after about 8 months. I replaced it with a festoon LED, no problems so far.
I used this thread and changed every light in my car! IT LOOKS SO MUCH BETTER! I would recommend getting a few spares though if you order them, a few of my LED's died after a few months! But new ones are in and i haven't had any trouble! Its been almost a year!
