My Momo wheel has 6 flush hex bolts securing it to the hub.

One of them has been rounded and I need to get the wheel off.

Anyone have any thoughts?

I hammered in the larger imperial size allen key to drive and remove it but that eventually turned and further rounded the hole.

Buy some easyouts... Supercheap or eBay.

I have a set of easy outs however the hex screws are relatively small and I was worried about damaging the hub.

I had this problem recently and found joy with a good dose of WD40, and finally, a flat bladed screwdriver gave me enough 'purchase' to get the bastard to turn !!!! - Good Luck

centre punch and hammer, works a treat for seized brake drum bolt etc.

Just centre punch a decent dent into the head of the nut, then angle the punch anticlockwise and hit away, should release it then just wind ti out

If the head protrudes enough, use a hacksaw to cut a slot and use a flat-bladed screwdriver. Failing that, if you have a matching replacement screw and an Allen key you don't need (i.e. not one from a good set), Araldite the closest fitting Allen key in (hammer in if necessary) and wait until it's set nice and hard. Then undo and discard both key and bolt (which would be rooted anyway:-)).

The centre-punch method works OK but if you slip you'd marr your wheel

Thanks Mike.

Yep I was worried about damaging my wheel, the bolts are flush.

I might try the araldite option to see how that goes....

Drill the head off.
Once you remove the wheel you should have enough
to grip with vice grips.

Drilling is great idea. Get all other bolts off first: this will avoid undue pressure being put on them as you get on with the work.

Use a drill that is just a fraction larger than the shaft of the nut (don't forget these all have a tapered head) so that you can cut away the head without drilling out the bevelled seat on the Boss.

Once it's cut away, the wheel should be able to be removed, leaving just a small part of the bolt sticking out of the boss. You can use a pair of pliers or vise grips to undo the bolt. Done this once or twice when wheel studs were overtightened and broken on the wheels (even then I could undo the remaining bit of the bolt with just my fingers).

Guys I thin he meant 'in-hex' bolts that are flush with the momo, i.e. theres nothing to grip onto.

Some wurth ROSTFREI in a can should get it loose as possible, then try gently tapping it out with punch method mentioned above.

Or remove all the other bolts, and then see if you can rotate the steering wheel off its axis, using the stuck bolt as the axis centre. (i.e. grip teh steering hub so it doesnt turn, and turn the steering wheel to the left)

Just found something better today to remove a bodged easyout on mates trailer:

'CHEMSEARCH YIELD'

Even dissipates threadlocker, and you need SFA of it, unlike drenching it in dubbya d forty.

$37.50 per can (yep). I got it from Atom Supply. I can't think of what the eqivalent Victorian outlet would be, maybe Coventry's? An engineering supplys shop should have it. Won't find it in hardwares or toolshops.
