Follow this until you can get to the back of the vol and temp assembly. Remove the assembly from the console surround. Using infinite amounts of patience, push screw drivers or butter knives down the side of the assembly from the rear, to remove the rear cover. -I find it easiest by doing one side first, and levering it out, this could lead to damage, however. Note: The cables will not come off with the cover.
Once you have achieved this magnificent feat, you will now be able to see the circuit board, and the four black bulb holders. These have a cross on the back, which thankfully no screwdriver in the known universe fits, so instead use a flat blade to turn them anti-clockwise about an eighth turn, and pull them out. You may need to use needle nose pliers to do this. Next, push your shiny new T3(I think) Neo wedge Leds into the empty space. Leave them unlocked for now, and we will see which ones are the correct way around. This will save the plastic at the back of the leds from getting eaten by the screwdriver. Once they are in, leave the rear cover off and plug the assembly in, and turn on you lights so the interior lights are, well, lit. Any of the leds fitted that are lit are the correct way around For any that aren't, turn off your lights etc, disconnect assembly, pull them out and turn them 180 degrees around. Push them back in, lock them all(one eighth turn clockwise) and test again. If all is well, clip the rear cover back on and re-fit assembly to console surround, etc.
Nice job, enjoy your wicked sweet new led lighting!
If there is demand, I can do photos and clean this up so it is a little easier

Oh and there is a much faster and easier way to do the A/C lighting too, the way in that tutorial is quite finicky, all the parts are pretty easy to get instead of soldering them up.
