Yup. It's happened and I can't find the keywords to search and find help on this one! I'm sure I can't be the first but if anyone knows where to look, please help me out.
To give you an idea of what I mean when i say "Fell down", the drivers side power window wound down fine to order my McD's snd then it didn't wind back up. I was pretty annoyed because I hadn't driven the car in about a fortnight and straight away a new issue cropped up, its been raining in brisbane for days straight and not being able to get the window up isn't exactly convenient right now when you down't own a garage.
So anyway I covered the car with a waterproof cover (it was about 2am when i had decided to give the car a turn over to get to maccas and back) and this morning had a look:
I took off the door trim to get a bit of an idea of how to get at the window.
I poked around for a while trying to find anything that looked out of place:
Finally i found how the window moved up and down and found inside the vertical pole, a piece of broken plastic:
So now what? I assume I've got to replace the bit which holds the frame of the window onto the runner? Any tips? Anyone selling that piece?

I picked one up from Kim Anthony at a good price! Ask him if he has any left or else I may have one or so more people who emailed me offering me one. PM me and I will get their names for you.

I bodged mine up ... I couldn't get the regulator to come out after about 45mins of swearing and wriggling it around!
Patched the plastic grip so that it will pull the window back up, but it wont pull it down, so I engage the motor to go down and just give the window a bit of a nudge and let it slide down, then going up at least it pulls up and stops it.
I know that doesn't help you much, but you may be able to repair the plastic piece in some way that means it will grab and hold. Those replacement parts are expensive ......
