Hi guys and gals….does anyone know if a Toyota Altezza Steering wheel will fit a 94 soarer, I don’t care about cruise I don’t care about air bag cos mine has neither, just want a nice looking wheel.

So if anyone has heard or knows if this is possible let me know.

Cheers

i just purchased 1 and have it sitting in the backseat of the soarer for such a reason haha, got the airbag one though as it plugs straight up, yet to fit it though. But toyota splines are pretty much all the same so i cant see any reason it wont fit

I want to get one of these at one stage soon. Like the three spoke shape, but want one with a cruise stalk attached to it too. Reason I'd like one of these wheels is that I get to keep my airbag.

Cheers guys, i have found one that would be perfect and cos i own a POV pack i dont have cruise or airbag so i dont care if it does or not, but as for the wheel itself, as long as it fits which you all say does, and doesnt sit too far out or in on the column then im happy......cheers once again fellas your all legends

Is the Altezza steering wheel thicker than the Soarer wheel?

thats it plus it has the airbag in it haha, would pay a shocking ammount new, to be honest i prefer the look of this to a aftermarket wheel. Dosnt attract attention and is nice and chunky

Is there a plain "Toyota" horn bezel available or are you stuck with the "Altezza"?

also, the late model Supra's had these on them with the toyota emblem in the center. And on the rarer ones, they had carbon fiber on it.

first problem if you have a airbag equipped soarer is that the clips are totally different. So unless there is a converter plug you can purchase? Which i highly doubt due to airbag systems being very sensitive to resistance changes, theres no way to fit it.

It looks like its possible to cut out a section of the steering wheel cover and bolt the cruise stalk to the frame of the wheel nad have cruise as well :-)

Let me know how you get on Nathan, I'd be keen if I could get one without the Altezza badge, that would just drive me nuts. My wheels starting to get a bit old and tired looking.

IS200 or IS300 steering wheels are the same wheel (mate has a IS200) and has the lexus centre, so just get a lexus wheel :-)

Yeah, problem there is that IS200's are rare as hens teeth over here, whereas Altezza's are as common as Corrollas, and I don't want a Lexus badge on my wheel either, that would be just as bad. Guess I'm just too picky :-)
