Hi guys i just retrimed my car doors with 3M Carbon fibre & arm rests from my old vinyl white trim which I previously done on the door pockets I have also stripped and repaired my door frame cracks and redoing them in black vinyl like the door trim which I have done also in the 2nd pic Lastly i sprayed around the stereo console in Kashmir silver but when i tryed to re-spray the wood grain pieces as I had previously sprayed them gun metal with clear over The paint will just not grip ive sanded them and tried plastic prime and it turns out even worsttt lumps and bubbles Should I paint strip it and then sand it down as I just want these pieces matching with the centre silver dash now Thanks

Thanks heaps buddy yeah i am rushing it this time i'll take it slow i just thought something was wrong as soon as i sprayed plastic prime it went bubbly ..and when i sprayed the paint just kept turning out crap
As for the doors they look amazing from the old white vinyl i got over the two tone look & the white kept getting dirty i wanted to try make the car look modern with a sleek neat finish as if it rolled out of the factory with these doors heres a closer pic & pic of what my doors looked like original

Nice job Raziel! Looks like quality work. Is that stuff easy to work with?
And once you clear, place the pieces aside for two days for it to dry, I like to leave mine somewhere out of the way for a week so it hardens properly, then give it a cut n polish and it will come up smooth and deep. But thats just me, I like to take my time as you'll most likely scratch it if you put it in the car too early.

Thanks mate yes it is pretty easy to use check out this website and watch the videos i used a hair dryer to heat it up it stretches and it molds beautiful BUT it was very time consuming like an hour or so ea door and a few burnt fingers later to get the edges nice and neat It also has texture feels like fabric not like the cheap one ive seen which is a gloss sticker i know a guy in Sydney whom i ordered this from though my business name cheaper i did this for a few friends cars i have to buy more paint and i will try this over the next few days and post pics of pieces & whole door complete thanks again

Good move Raziel. Personally not a fan of stark white interiors. So your latest change looks fantastic. I'm about to do a similar thing, but with foam backed vinyl. Ive got the Tan and brown interior. So my tan will remain, and brown will be changed to black.

Thanks Daniel yes the white drove me mad
Your change will def give your car a face lift i wish all soarers came out in black they picked such ugly interior colours for the older models you'll have fun warping

Love the look Raziel, thinking of doing pretty much the same thing with my trims. Just a quick question mate, what size sheet did you use to cover the door trim? I assume it's all one piece?

Hi Luke, Sorry late reply I ordered in total 2metres from ‘’sublimecarbon’’ he does whatever size you need and I asked for one continuous roll then cut 1m in half.
I used about 1meter for each door pocket and had just enough left to do the arm rests.
I would also suggest buy some glue in the form of a SPRAY as its light and non clumpy i think 3m do have one i just used left over glue from my vinyl retirm so that you get no peeling edges etc i haven’t had this problem even in hot hot weather
my tips are if you do this be mindful on which way the pattern is going when wraping Expect sore burnt fingers

Ive been looking at this 3M stuff over the last couple of days thinking i would just do the woodgrain but i didnt know you could get such a good finish on something like the armrests..
Did you strip them because i cant see any stitching marks on the handrests
