Hi guys, my window is doing what the titles says, its as bad as sticking your head next to a trucks wheels while the brakes go metal on metal.

I have tried wd40 but no use, any ideas?

Sounds like something is stuck in the runners.

WD40 is the wrong thing to use. You should use a silicon based lubricant that will also lubricate the rubber seals.

Yeah, mine's done this for years, and a quick spray of silicon lube works a treat.

Ask some window tinters. There is something better than silicon spray you can use. Pretty sure it comes in powder form.

my screaming came from the regulator motor : if it is you can find a second hand replacement. It is abit hard to tell if the replacement will make noise too though as they only really do it when under load (eg. with a window on it). powering it without the window it didn't screech at all so you may have to trial and error a few :/

I would really love to find someone that can recondition these motors on here. I am sure sooner or later these parts will dry up!
