Just wondering if the electric seats out of a jzz30 run a relay i have put them in a dodge phoenix and under load they are extremely slow /don't move at all. Also if there is a safety switch when the seats are moved / reclined forward having issues adjusting seats

There should be a Relay for the Power Windows that would be in the kick Panel, I'm pretty sure the Power seats run off the same one.

If they were working good in your Soarer, they should be working fine in any other car so long as the battery is charged and wiring connection is good.

A 4 Pin Normally Open Relay, But it won't fix the problem if that's what your thinking.

Yeah that's what i was thinking Boris. Wiring connections have been triple checked and i am running dual batteries as the car is set up for rallies. Any other ideas on how to make them work better?

make sure the mounting system is dead level. A degree or two out and that little motor is going to struggle; as you say it happens under load, I wonder if the mount is flexing?

Bring a spare battery FULLY CHARGED into the car, run the seats directly off it and see if they run fast.

Running faster = Problem with wiring on Dodge.

Running the same = seat motors bad or bad wire connection within the looms on the seat.

What problem are you having with the tilt adjustment?

It's not hard to figure it out even without a wiring diagram. There is just power and ground fed through the plug, which goes to the switches, and when you open the switches up it shouldn't be hard to figure out how they switch the power/ground to all the motors.

I don't think there is a safety switch on any of them, you just have to take apart the switch and see what is happening, then rule out whether the motor is good or not.
