i painted my dash ages ago
also i test painted one of the volume knobs you mentioned in your first post
i just masked up the light bit on the knob (just put some blue tac over it) and painted it with the VHT, its still on there and going good, cept its on the volume knob and as i dont have the stock head unit any more i dont actually touch the button. |

yeh but the part saying volume and stuff still stays brown. it would annoy the hell out of me lol |

well after months of avoiding it, i finally got factory black armrest, because painted ones suck! and factory black vol/temp knob. also got some dyed black leather rear seats:

yeh need to fix a few little things here and there. like window switches, black matts(CBF changing carpet) do something with headliner, and lastly front seats |

hey Ali what brand of paint and dye did you use for the change? also is it possible to paint the dash while it still in the car or do you have to pull it out? |

i used VHT Vinyl dye in satin black. yeh you can paint the dash in the car but make sure its masked off well |

If you want to spray, your knobs in the centre console it is very easy,
Stuff Needed
1. Vaseline
2. Plastic Spray Paint (colour of your choice)
3. Clear Coat
Apply Vaseline to the gap where it indicates where the setting is at, lightly scrape off excess vaseline around
Apply paint to your desire coating
Then spray clear coat.
Grab a knife and scrape gentle where the hole indent was, and should leave a nice looking control knob '

i tried something similar orton. i tried using blue tack over the bits where the light comes throuhg. didn't work out the greatest as the blue tac wasn't really straight. |

i tried the blue tac thing, but it didnt work out because the blue tac wouldnt stay in the grove. anyway ive got factory black ones now anyway. now all i need is some black mats, as i plan to leave the carpet ivory |

picked up my black mats from matcraft, and chucked em in. they look pretty good and the quality is fine, that is till you compare them to the plush soarer ones lol.
next step some black seats. |
