Woodgrain suits the refinement of a luxury appointed cruiser that an old fella would be proud of,,, but not so much the growing amount of mildly modified sports tourer or heavily modified sports Soarers getting around.
Loving the carbon look mate.. I have done the same myself but have haven't completed and fitted it all yet

I think it's great work - not to my taste, but I can still appreciate it (not that I have great taste, I just put sheepskin covers on my seats because I value comfort more than looks)
The clear coat on my dash started to go a little cloudy in one corner after a few years of the car living outside all the time - fortunately after we moved house the Soarer now lives in a nice garage and doesn't get much direct sun any more - and it hasn't gotten any worse in the last 4 years.

Not to my taste either, especially covering up beautiful wood. Great work though. I note the indicators for the auto shifter seem to be still covered with vinyl- would be some fiddly work to get those apertures cut neatly.
I had the same problem, Matthew- started to go cloudy after moving to NSW (no cover) but didn't get any worse after carport was built.

Just read this: "I have put the vinyl over the top but have not cut out the holes yet. Not sure what I am going to do with the LED holes as they are super small and probably impossible to cut out."
You've already completed the job now, but I would have suggested marking out the holes exactly prior to covering with vinyl and cutting the holes at that stage, or finding a sharp punch with correct shape. I can't remember, are the LED holders removable?
