Hey guys,
A while back the window regulator on my drivers side door broke. I bought a used replacement part (which could be the problem in itself) and got it installed. Only problem is that within a day or two it was broken again because it wasn't installed properly.
Since then I've had no less than 2 mechanics plus an auto elec re-install. Everytime they think they have done it properly, but within a week it breaks again.
I'm guessing these muppets just don't know how to install them properly. I am beyond frustrated and hoping someone could point me in the right direction of someone who actually knows what they are doing with Soarers. Is it a job for a mechanic, or an auto elec?
I look like a real dick having to get out of the car every time I go to a car park in the city to get a ticket.

I would make a friend and you and him do it.
Frankly it's a pretty straightforward job of taking off the interior door card, using some ductape to hold the glass up, undoing the two big circles with needle nose pliers and some muscle, then undoing the 6~7 nuts.
Reverse those instructions to install the new one.
Done.
If you haven't already bought a replacement one, i'd be expecting a 600+ dollar bill from someone else based on toyota prices alone+labour.
Yourself would be more like 150~ dollars from buying the part which fails new from japan and about 2 hours of man time with a bro if you've never even done it before.
If you have done it before (like i did, i replaced a broken one with a used one, and the used one broke) by the second time you can do it in about 45mins or less.
Or compromise, and buy the part yourself, and then only pay the hour labour for replacing it at the shop perhaps.
Maybe sport and luxary though are clever cookies and might source you a good quality one without the toyota pricetag i'm not sure.
