Hey guys,
I've had my soarer off the road for a few months now while I supercharge it and re-do the interior. Things are very close to complete and should be back on the road in the coming weeks.
Just wanted to put up a pic with a bit of a tease on how things are going with the interior.

not sure but my is300 eshift wheel went straight on. no hassles at all. just rewired the cruise control stalk and swapped pins for the eshift to work with suprastick.

The wheel was sourced off Ebay for around $150USD, and the bag was from an online parts supplier for around $400.
I also source an RX clock spring to try wire up the butttons but that wasn't going to work so now I'm looking at wireless/bluetooth options that might work with the RCjoycon unit I got.

stock airbag soarer has 8ch clock spring. you could wire each side to the same signal wire but have a different resistor from each button. use the joycon to read the values and assign accordingly. fiddly job, might work.

Im noticing a lot of head units that are specified for late model toyota/lexus upgrades have steering wheel button setup fumctions (the software side, plus a hardware side; as in a seperate cable that the OEM wheel and headunit communicate through.)
Methinks the Chinese have made ground on the present! Methinks I like this!!
I remember the hoo-haa over 'integrated' head units that were being built into local cars, for example the BA Falcon. With no 'DIN' sizing, it looked like doom and gloom for P platers wanting to add Kenwood JVC or Alpine to them.
Then, the asian continent made integrated units available, and , voila, pick a head unit.
I love the chinese for that reason. And for Yum Cha.

dont forget to make sure they are the right size. ive seen a lot and some come with the whole facia assembled with control and climate control built in already. these seem to be slightly wider than stock double din sizes...
primitive but sony had the idea with the rxm commander modules. little steering column stalk for headunit control.
