Yeah there is a note on the front of my pack saying UV resistant chemicals added.
At any rate they probably won't fail as they are out of direct sunlight behind window tint.
Also I just ran out, I have only done one front seat and 3/4 of the lower rear seat.
Still have another front seat and the upper rear seat to go.
I only wasted about 10 so I reckon you need about 300 to complete the job.
There are WAY more hog rings to cut off on the rear seat than the fronts. Took me about an hour just to get the old cover off the bottom half.
Here is a pic of the rear seat, it's 3/4 done, but you get the idea.
And can I also just say that this little project of redoing my interior is absolutely exhausting.... I am really looking forward to finishing the seats, once they are done I just need to spray the dash and I'm finished.
Then another $4000 for a new bodykit, respray and some door hinges and I'll be finished the car completely.

Hey thanks Jesse, I have finished the lower back seats now, they look sooo much better than the old covers.
I have ordered some Kyrlon Fusion matt black paint so I can paint all the little bit's of plastic etc. I was hoping it would turn up yesterday so I could at least finish the passenger seat over the weekend but I'll have to wait till next week now.

A brother?
Yeah I'm not a fan of that steering wheel, I got it from Supercheap auto for like $70 a couple of months ago.
It will be in the for sale section shortly haha.
Well I don't read any newspapers, I don't even have any old ones. I bought the Age because I needed something to mask up with, and it looked like it had the biggest pages.

Scott I have already painted the pillars, but the roof will remain light cream colour. I think most black interiors stay with a light beige colour roof.
The one last thing to do is replace the seatbelts with black ones, but that can wait until I get my new body kit and get the respray done which is happening in late September.
I'll pull the DSLR out on the weekend when I have come light and get some good shots of the finished interior for everyone to see.
The improvement is immense, I'll post some before shots as well on Saturday.

Alistair- You're right about building up a profile on you.
I was bored a few months ago so googled my own name, just out of interest.
I was AMAZED at how many things came up about me. Things I've written in the past on Soarer Central (under a different name too), newspaper articles that I've been involved with (no, nothing I did wrong) other online forums regarding some of my other hobbies and even one or two things with my full name and telephone number on!
So I too, changed my details when I re-joined Soarer Central and will do so with any other site I join in the future. It sounds crazy but I now realise (too late) that it's so easy to build up a history of things we become involved in online.

OK so here are some photo's of the finished product.
Seats - Retrimmed in leather with red stitching, repaired cracked pieces near recline handle.
Steering Wheel - Boss Kit + Leather wheel with red stitching to match seats
Door trims front/rear, dash, centre console and all other vinyl parts sprayed with VHT vinyl dye
All remaining plastic parts - Sprayed with Krylon Fusion Matt Black plastic paint.
Wood trim and shifter, A/C and trip computer bit covered in textured carbon fibre vinyl wrap.
Handbrake handle replaced with metal one from Supercheap Auto.
Boost gauge - Relocated from drivers pillar to the lower drivers dash, it's actually mounted to a little plastic tab where the air purifier switch was, so no holes made in the lower dash.
Mobile phone holder - Mounted in fold out cup location, USB and 3.5mm cable also routed through here. The sticker you see on the mobile holder is an NFC tag, when my phone is inserted into the holder it automatically sets the brightness to 100%, increases volume to 100% for music, and launches 'car home' an application that sets the display to always on and give you big buttons for phone control.
Picture attached
Here is a few before photo's, overall the previous condition wasn't too bad, the carpet was covered in cigarette burns and soy sauce, there was a cigarrette burn on the drivers seat and the plastics were a horribly brown colour, it was also very tired looking. My plan was to give it a refresh and bring it into the 21st century.
My next goals are to get a new bodykit fitted and painted as well as change the seatbelts to black and also get a triple gauge holder and mount that on the dash above the centre air vents, when I had everything out of the car I had a look behind the dash and it shouldn't be too much trouble to drill a 20mm hole directly above the vents and run the cabling down through there. The plan is to use smoked gauges that light up with red digits and needles when the car is turned on, I will tap into the power for the climate control so the lights can be dimmed using the dash dimmer switch.
I will try cover the triple gauge holder with the left over vinyl I have from a second hand Soarer door trim and dye it black so it blends in nicely.
And if no one has seen my Soarer here it is. Definitely needs a new rear bar as the current one is cracked.
