I just thought I should share a few pictures and a bit of info with you guys.
Ive just finished off a pretty serious half cage in my jzz30, Weld in, double cross bracing in hoop and back stays, braced to rear parcel shelf and pillars, harness bar with incorperated eyelets.
This is a street car, a half cage no closer than 150mm to the back of the seat is legal in NSW with an engineers report. Bolt in or weld in. Must be reregistered as a 2-seater and have all back seats and belts removed. Cars newer than 93 still require child restraints to be maintained weather 2 seater or not.
I plan to pull the windows out and put a "world rally" style rollcage in eventually but this will be sufficent for now.
This is a CAMS spec cage for circuit work, NOT drag racing. 44,5mm hoop CDW, everything else is 38mm CDW. 2.6mm wall thickness, MIG welded.

Nice work, and you managed to keep all the factory trim around the sunroof as well. You could almost paint the cage and rear section grey to match the trim, and/or cover in a lightweight grey velour to keep it looking nice and street/show if that was your thing.
Are you using aftermarket seat belts, or can the stock items get around all the barwork?
