Hi everyone,

Unfortunatly i need to take my car through for a roadworthy inspection and my front seats wobble.

I am getting ready to take them out, and possible the trim off to find/resolve the problem.

Has anyone had this kind of issue before?

Thanks,
Zeke

Zeke,

check to see if the seats wobble on the rails, or if the rails are wobbling on the mounts. If the rails are wobbling on the mounts, you can probably pack the gaps with washers to get a solid fit. If it is in the seat/rail joint, same thing- pack the gaps.

If it is in the rail itself you might have to try something more tricky. For a temporary fix you could get the seat in the right position and pack it in tight with cardboard wedges. For something more permanent, some light massaging with a block of wood and a hammer to tighten the slides might be the go.

Of course if you have those ladi-da fully electric everything seats, then I have no idea what to look at.

Hi Ben,

Thanks for the info, ill give it a try.

The passenger seat actually skips a spot on the rail with a bit of force, so if defiantly could be a rail issue.

Luckily the seats aren't electric, but still way heaps which is why i have been putting it off.

Thanks,
Zeke
