Alarm incorrectly installed. Not many installers understand how to deal with a Soarer door lock module. A search will find info on how to do it right.
Either that or the alarm is OK and the door lock motor is stuffed (common).

If you get really stuck this guy can help: James Trikalis 0408 44 33 52.

He did my alarm install and even removed the door chime.

If alarm has been on that long it was probably working alright.
I'd go for the door lock motors; they are notorious for doing just this.

They look just like a model toy motor. Should be cheap enough new. 2nd hand would be a gamble as they do stuff up a lot. Getting them in and out is a bit of a bitch, just take your time. It involves door trim removal and stuff.

Never actually done it but they should have them.
I would be surprised if they weren't common to other models.

ok found the prob.

pulled apart the door and found that the cable running from the inside lock handle to the outside handle wasnt sliding properly. its hard to explain. but now its not unlocking properly. the cable keeps getting stuck on the plastic bit. and i cant fix. so know im looking for a new cable.

anyone out there wrecking a soarer door???

if so im interested.

see link below

thanks nick
