My wheel is finished and I should have it back in a couple of days. Peter Scott says it looks great!! It is re-leathered in dark grey. Pen, you saw it.

Graham it is stunning. No other word for it.
Better than some originals. Interestingly my wheel and Peter Scott's wheel have minor differences. His has 2 seams, one above and one below the side hand grip areas, whereas mine has one that is in that area. I have Peter's wheel on my car at present and when driving at 10 to 2 hand position I can feel the top seam - minor annoyance.
His wheel also seems to have a glossy protective coat which is probably why it is in better condition that mine despite more miles, but that coat also seems to promote hand sweat followed by slippery wheel and lots of wiping hands on pants.
Your new wheel has the same seam positions as mine, definitely a winner.

I fitted my re-leathered steering wheel today. Here are some pics for those interested. You will see the colour difference between the horn pad and the new leather and the quality of the leather and stitching. First class!! The colours in the pics are quite accurate. Even with the colour difference, I am very happy with the job.It would be interesting to see what a dark grey & light grey 2 tone wheel would look like!!
I also stated in a previous post that it was done in dark grey. I think it is actually light grey.

My wheel was done in Sydney by Neil's contact (can't remember who). The colour is a near perfect match for the spruce so the leather colour IS available, or he dyed it himself.

you cant do the horn pad on an airbag car, as the pad is meant to split in two at teh centre crack when the airbag goes off. Its illegal to cover it in leather.
