Hey Guys,

Just thought I should share some information, top product called Mothers Plastic Polish alot of people around here use to polish their headlights is GREAT for bringing up the gear selector surround and cigarette lid shiny and new looking. I have attached a really bad pic of the reflection given off (took a funny angle to show it).

Sorry about the quality, but it was the best way to represent what it does. I found the best way to do this was actually pop out the entire gear selector surround and then the bordering to take out the lid for the cigarette lighter. Turns out a treat, makes the interior look like new. I want to do the EMV surround someday, but I think it would have to be taken out to get the same effect. I tried while it is in the dash but couldn't get any shine on it.

Either way, I think it looks great, let me know your results!

By the way, that isn't woodgrain, that's the black plastic, some people thought the colour was woodgrain, it's just the bricks in the carport.

Meguiars (sp) make a similar product, and I'ver used it to good effect. I MUCH prefer this to the fake wood look.......

I don't have one of those, I have an EMV!

I tried to rub a little on the EMV panel but it doesn't shine up like the rest of the gear selector surround.

its actually black paint on the plastic to make it matte and the polish is rubbing off the black paint so its shiny!

you can do it on the AC part and the radio and the little white writing wont buff off which is cool

here is mine all polished

Yes! That's what im talking about, I just couldn't get a good pic of mine, looks identical!

I'd love to be able to do the EMV, I wonder if the situation is the same, might take alot of work taking it out to polish properly though.

i just polished up everything including the buttons and none of the little text came off. so it would be safe on the EMV as well i guess

I used just a cut and polish paste for my surrounding, though it doesn't look quite as good as that in the picture.

Very nice, I was thinking about getting the alloy dash trim but now I might go for that.

While we're talking about polishing the innards of Soarers, does anyone have any tips for the wood grain?

I used cut and polish on my old car for the wood trims (very very lightly applied).
