Yeah, probably not the cheapest solution. It's a good option if you wanna have two tone coloured seats though. And getting the Toyota or Lexus emblem embossed looks quite fancy too...

Yeah. If they were more around ~$250 just for the fronts Id go for them but at $550 thats just way to much - Id rather spend the extra 300 on a door trim replacement or something!

You could order just the front covers. Not quite sure about the price though. Just bought a set of covers for the front head rests with Lexus L embossed and plain leather material to cover my parcel shelf (which looks quite filthy) from the same dealer... If you think about buying a set of front seats, don't forget that you have to pay a fair bit for postage if you don't find a seller nearby. Bloody heavy buggers they are...

You could always just ask them for the fronts - I bought a complete set, and had some questions and they were very helpful. Only issue would be to match the colour....
I showed him some pictures of the seats and what needs to be done, he replies:
"The passenger seat looks easy enough to repair and re-dye will be NZD $120.00 +GST for the side panel"
"The drivers side, panel will have to be replaced which I can get a price on that for you tomorrow. The price to re-dye the whole seat is usually NZD $250 +GST"
He said he really needs to have a good look over them to get a final price but at least I have an idea on what ill need to spend in order to have decent looking leather seats - Once I have the car I may do that.
However do you guys think it’s worth having the front seats both totally re-dyed and some of the leather panels replaced if they are worn too far?
I don’t really want seat covers they are cheap and nasty looking. (Apart from the leather ones above)

Why don't ya get a couple of those psuedo baa-baa skin covers that cover the whole seat until you've got the spondoolies to splash out on a leather resto jobby, or a good set of original leather trim pops up.

Mmm yes - that’s the idea, but Im still after some decent seat covers that fit properly. I probably wouldn’t get around getting repairs done on the leather seats for at least a month after getting the car. So seat covers will be needed to make the car look tidy. Id be more focused on just doing small repairs that are more of a problem like the door trims, repaying faded wipers etc

Yes!
This may seem a little strange, but I just have to list what I need to do the interior/exterior to make this a tidy Soarer! Must get these thoughts off the top of my head. They are driving me crazy! (In no particular order)
1) Seat covers for front seats 2) Clean emv screen behind glass 3) Replace driver’s door trim armrest. 4) Clean all surfaces on doors, dash console etc! 5) Wash carpet interior and clean rear seats 6) Repair the roof lining around sunroof (very minor, just needs some glue) 7) Replace broken plastic trims around electric seat controls. 8) Replace both doors speaker fabric material...
Exterior:
1) Wash the Soarer very well - everywhere possible, removes all dirt in hard to get spaces. I.e., around window wiper 'ditch' where leaves gather 2) Light paint clear coat restorer, also removes hard road grime. (Polish it on) 3) Full wax polish done very slowly to avoid white marks! 4) Clean tires and wheels (TTs hopefully!) 5) Clean the left headlight to remove slight yellow discoloration on outside (wont remove all obviously as some is inside) 6) Spray wheels with silicone spray and front lip spoiler for nice a look, and shine exhaust tips with brasso. 7) Take wipers off and re-SPRAY them with SATIN black
8) All done super tidy UZZ31... Ill be away laughing then! Estimated cost? ~ $700 dollars

Mmm, well that’s all the really needs to be done. I can do everything easily on that list so yes its definitely achievable
The best part is Ill enjoy doing the tasks listed above immensely! When I think about it that’s what I like about the Soarer, it offers me everything! Lets do another list!
The Soarer: -Looks superb and original -Overly comfortable -Quality -Reliable -Doesn’t get boring at all -Fast -Smooth and quite -Easy to drive -Lots of buttons and electrics that just about no other cars have! How many other cars have an auto tilt away steering wheel?? -It’s rare! -It’s a v8! -Hardly any people know its a v8, adds a slight excitement to see their reaction when you show them and tell them its a Toyota v8! -There’s great clubs like this and superb websites like www.plantsoarer.com! -There’s just so many bonuses with this car I could go on for allot longer!!
