I'd like to lubricate some parts like the window runners seat runners and the like. I'd also like to treat the rubbers with something.

I've got some CRC dry glide that contains PTFE is that OK or should I be using some other product?

Rubbers came pre-treated with KY Jelly when I was in the Navy.

Not that there is anything wrong with that.

Anything silicone based is usually okily dokily for sliding mechanism. DON'T USE OIL BASED PRODUCTS!!! The dirt will stick to them, making whatever you're lubing up worse than before you started. If all else fails, try some Mr Sheen, works wonders on the roller doors at the office.

OK but which spray can products are they? I've just read all the fine print on this one and its doesn't say what its base is. I'd hate to spray something and then watch it dissolve before my eyes.

Go to the place where you buy them (hardware store?) and ask someone for a silicone based lubricating spray. Or as Neil said, glycerine can work good to, just have to drizzle it in to place.
