Hi Joe. Looks great. Would you sell me some dye and post it up to Queensland? I just bought a carpet of a wrecked Soarer which I would like to dye black...

Tobias ,
Sure I've just ordered 5 KG of black dye , I just need to work out how much is needed per car so I can work out a price. I'll know on Thursday

Vinh I got a sample of a red dye to test , once I've done the trial I'll post it up on the forum for you to look at and go from their if your interested.

On another note how many of you would be interested in re-dying their carpets to the original factory colour to give it revitalisation and get rid of 13 year of stains and other nasties.

IE: Spruce , Light Cream ....etc. I just want to work out if there is enough interest.

Cheers

sounds like you're on a winner there Joe, especially for all of us heater core sufferers!

perhaps a tutorial is in order? ie

what sort of gun/sprayer to use, how to mix the dye you're selling, how to remove carpets completely and refit etc etc?

good work!!

Hmmm.. I wonder if it'll turn out in the same shade on my carpets. Where abouts do you live Joe? I think I'll drop by sometime so we can have some tests done to see how they compare to my seats. As long as it is a close match or looks decent, I'll probably end up dying them. PM me about your location mate.

By the way guys, it would be more beneficial to dye your carpets black rather than replacing them. The standard Soarer carpets are so good and easy to clean, compared to some other carpets I've seen. You could spend half an hour with a vacuum cleaner just trying to get rid of crap from the carpets from a Lancer, whilst with a Soarer it'll probably take a mere 10 minutes.

would there be any reason why you couldn't dye cloth seats?
