As I may have the opportunity to buy some leather seats soon, I was just wondering the following...

As the drivers seat is a tad tatty, what is the general concensus on a ballpark figure for a leather seat to be re-trimmed? Don't want to pay for the seats and then find out that its going to cost another few grand to fix them!

Thanks guys.

Ben, I paid a good $3000+ for all my seats to get retrimmed. End of the day, it all comes down to the quality of the workmanship and the quality of the leather.

Yikes!!! Leather would be nice, but for that kind of dosh I think that I'd rather get some sparco buckets, a harness and spend the rest on rebuilding my turbos. That's if I had # grand to spend in the first place!

These Sparco Milano Prestige Seats would look good on the Soarers

Callum,

In the USA they get the SC400 up to year 2000 with 5 speed auto and you can see that they have the gate shifter and a different gear shifter.

Oh yer and VVTI V8 engine i think.

Callum, indeed it does seem very interesting about the priorities. For me, it's looks first. Engine's always gonna be there for me to do up. I just don't like driving around and being just another Soarer on the road :-)

Vinh, i am more and more begining to think the same way as what you have said above.

Currently, i am more than impressed with the performance of my car. Granted it has more than the average done to it performance wise.
Anyway, i am looking more towards the comfort and quality of my ride now. The money path is focusing more and more towards maintaining and improving upon the interior quality.

Callum, that gated shifter beats the hell out of our stock shifter... stupid, big thing it is. Soarers should've come with the gated shifter as stock

Callum if you want comfort and quality, mate DON'T get 20's hahaha. The 20's are so much more rougher compared to my 18's on the road. You feel the bumps on the roads more.. and that ain't because of my shocks or anything. My car's only done 70,000kms or so.

Sam, yes I had them balanced and aligned properly. They are just as smooth when driving on the freeway or something, but what I'm saying is that you can just FEEL the bumps more.

Vinh, have you tried 20's and coilovers?

I would be interested to see how a car drives with a set of decent coilovers and 20" rims on, it should all balance out shouldnt it?

I'm not really interested in coilovers. Just personally think they're too rough for my ride.
